Me in Anaktuvuk Pass near the village of Anaktuvuk. My daughter Megan, a professional tour guide at that time, brought me here as one of her regular tourists. She is the photog here. The Pass crosses the continental divide in the Brooks Range. It separates Alaska's North Slope north to the Arctic Ocean from the Yukon River Valley to the south. Anaktuvuk Pass is one of the planet's magical places.
